snow!Even Though its winter, we still have tons going on Olde Mill!

The weather in December wasn’t very kind for outside work but Tony & his crew are still making progress with construction of the new condos! The photos don’t do justice to how beautiful this building is becoming–you really need to see it in person to appreciate it!  Weather permitting, we hope to have this project complete by early Spring!

Bo & his crew have been busy traveling to golf and real estate shows all over the east coast this winter to spread the word about Olde Mill. Thanks to all who have stopped by our booths to chat with us–we look forward to seeing you here soon!!

Chef Ed has been busy preparing the restaurant for reopening. Plans are to open in March with new menu options.  Seafood buffets are tentatively scheduled to begin in mid-May. We also plan to continue showcasing local musicians to further enhance your dining experiences. Ed and his staff are excited about the upcoming season with lots of special events planned so stay tuned!!

Now is the time to book your Blue Ridge Mountain Escape!!  Our preseason stay & play rates end April 17. Until then, you can stay, play, have breakfast AND dinner starting at $122/person!!   What a steal!!!

We hope that this year brings you great prosperity and happiness.  Here at Olde Mill, we are gearing up for a big season with you in mind. 

 The golf course renovations have really taken hold.  It was obvious that golfers really enjoyed the changes and the overall quality of the course in the fall months.  With that in mind, expect the course to be in tip top shape this spring. 

We are planning for a continued growth  in our restaurant services.  We will offer lunch on Saturdays and Sundays to start things off, in addition to our dinner service at Maples and the Tavern.  That’s great for all you weekend warriors who may not necessarily make in for our daily breakfast service.  It will also be a great time to come in and watch a game on one of our many flat screens and have a refreshing beverage.

There will be many special events in 2011.  We will have Easter brunch, Mother’s Day brunch, July 4th festivities, Camp Groundhog, and breakfast with Santa.   We are going to add to that with cooking classes, wine tastings and a fun run to raise money for charity.  It will be a fun filled year, for sure.

Our river walk/nature trails are coming together beautifully!  It will be one of our most popular amenities.  There will soon be the addition of a pavilion for our guests near the river.  This will provide a great place for families to picnic and enjoy the beauty of Olde Mill.  In time, we will have live music in this area to really bring the whole thing to life.  We are all very excited about the possibilities.

Updates will be coming with the exact times and dates for all of our events.  In the meantime, just remember this spring, “the mountains are calling you home”.
