We are excited to add Chef Michael Gucciardo to our team.  Michael comes to us with quite the resume.  A native New Yorker, Michael learned to cook authentic Italian cuisine from his father and other family members born in Italy.  He moved to southwest Virginia and became chef & co-owner of The Pine Tavern in Floyd for several years, spent some time at Nico’s in Roanoke and Sal’s in Radford but is probably best known as founder and chef of Mickey G’s Italian Bistro and Pizzeria in Floyd.   Michael spent 15 years serving delicious food and building strong community ties there.  After taking some time away to focus on family, Michael is back cooking up those wonderful dishes so many of us have grown to love!  Maples Restaurant will continue to offer our long standing favorites in addition to Michael’s specialties!
